Brett Benton, a graduate of Central College in Pella, Iowa, has been involved in the commercial insurance industry since 1988. He began his career as a Commercial Underwriter with Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, before becoming a Commercial Insurance Broker in 1994. Brett has been servicing the needs of his commercial clients ever since. His many years of experience in dealing with multiple lines of coverage for clients within a broad spectrum of industries have made him uniquely qualified in the field of commercial insurance. In addition to serving the needs of his clients, he also provides expert witness testimony in commercial insurance legal disputes. Brett is a former board member of the Central Arizona Society of CPCU and a past President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Phoenix. Brett is also very active in his community. In 2012, he was the Chairman of the Fiesta Bowl Committee and currently serves on their Board of Directors. Brett is a Past President of the Board of Directors of Waste Not of Arizona and still is very active in their organization.
Dennis Gallagher joined Horizon in 2003 after a successful career with a regional insurance agency in Caifornia. Upon his arrival in Arizona, Dennis embarked on a career insuring elder care facilities. He has become a recognized specialist, insuring over one hundred and fifty clients, ranging from two bed residential care homes to one of the largest skilled nursing facilities in the state. Dennis was instrumental in the creation of the Four Corners Assisted Living Association. Its members are residential care facilities in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado. Dennis is also a member of the Arizona Chapter of the Assisted Living Federation of America.
After graduating from Bemidji State University, with a degree in education, Hank left Minnesota to begin a career in the insurance business. Hank has been at Horizon Insurance for 22 years. Prior to Horizon he was with Farmers Insurance and Alternate Insurance. Hank works in both personal and commercial insurance and can help you with your auto and home insurance. He is commercial producer with his primary focus on residential care facilities and in home health.
Marla Folsom is the Vice President of Personal Lines for Horizon Insurance. She has been in the insurance business for over 30 years and 20 of these with Horizon. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and is a former elementary school teacher. Marla has served on several state, local and national insurance boards in the recent years. Her product knowledge combined with her intimate knowledge of the insurance companies makes her a valuable asset to our clients and our agency. Recently licensed and now an Insurance Producer, John has over 30 years’ experience in Healthcare consulting, Payer Relations, sales management and Healthcare Financial systems sales spanning 50 states. John was Senior Manager at Andersen Consulting in San Francisco, Vice President of Sales for JDA eHealth Systems, Regional Director of Sales at McKesson, and Regional Director of Revenue Cycle Technology at MedAssets during that time. Understanding the importance of relationship building and possessing strong organizational skills, John will concentrate on applying these skillsets upon the development and expansion of Healthcare, Ambulatory Care, Home Health and Assisted Living Homes business for Horizon Healthcare. John is a former Peace Corps Volunteer having served 2 years in Honduras, Central America, and enjoys tennis, baseball and fishing.
Lynda is truly a full service agent. She has a customer service focus with over thirty years' experience in the insurance management/marketing and sales area. She excels in advising and providing comprehensive commercial, personal and life and health insurance programs to her clients. These include a broad base of business insurance categories including large property owners, contractors, medical professionals, and oil and gas consultants. In addition to managing her commercial and personal clients, Lynda is head of our commercial lines marketing department. In this role, Lynda is responsible for maintaining insurance company relations, as well as providing our commercial agents with up to date company information.
